Cheesy Jalapeno Popper Bread

Cheesy Jalapeno Popper Bread is a quick & easy appetizer that has all of the flavors of Jalapeno Poppers. These are a wonderful time-saving alternative, and taste every bit as delicious as real jalapeno poppers! Perfect for game night or tailgating.

Money & Time Savers

I almost always have the bread for this recipe in the freezer. I’ll buy a bunch of loaves of bread off the clearance cart at the grocery store whenever I see them. I often get Baguettes, French Bread, Italian Bread and sandwich rolls for half-price. When I get them home, I’ll slip each bag into another bread bag, using an extra bread tie to close, then pop them in the freezer. They seem to stay fresher that way.

When we fry bacon, we usually fry the whole package up, so we have it for a breakfast or two, and maybe a BLT. But when we don’t finish it off quick enough, I’ll put the leftover bacon in a freezer bag. I happened to have a bag in the freezer with 3 or 4 slices, so I crumbled those up for this recipe.

I had fresh jalapenos from the garden, but I used my fermented peppers. I drained them on a paper towel and cut the larger slices in half before using.

Just look at that ooey-gooey cheesy topping!

Store leftovers in a lidded plastic container n the fridge. To re-heat, set bread pieces on a damp paper towel in the micro-wave, then heat for about 30 seconds. It’s just as tasty the next day for lunch.

  1. Those look scrumptious. Have you tried other kinds of peppers with it? I love spicy hot foods, but for some reason, jalapenos aren’t my thing. Or maybe I should go ahead and give this a chance and try it with the jalapenos anyway. 🙂
