This night stand was inspired by the piece I showed in the post For The Love Of Art Furniture. I loved the first design and trying the different paint techniques on it, When I decided to paint a piece of furniture for a friend of mine, I knew I wanted to paint something similar, but personalize it to suit her.

I had forgotten to take pictures before giving it to her years ago, so I was pretty happy when she sent me photos of it.

I just love the “Pocket Full of Sunshine” stamp, which then inspired the sunflowers and black bird. My friend was a gardener, so all of the words are garden-related.

I must not of realized it at the time, but it looks like the little black bird above is an “angry little bird” . . . maybe because the garden wasn’t growing fast enough? Or too fast, and there were no seeds left for the birds?
