Steak Bites Recipe Notes
The optional olive oil is for pre-browning the steak pieces. While not necessary, browning the meat before cooking seals in the juices and adds additional flavor. You can skip this step and still produce a wonderful meal.
The next optional ingredient is butter. A lot of steakhouse restaurants use butter on steaks while grilling because it adds more flavor. Not a necessary ingredient, simply skip it.
Finally, a small amount of flour or cornstarch mixed in water is used to thicken the broth, if desired. We prefer the steak bites with gravy. To keep this Keto-friendly, don’t add the flour or cornstarch to the pot.

This is not, but I use cauliflower rice frequently for these kinds of dishes. Glad you like the storage notes! I need help too, which is why I prefer simple meals.
