The holidays are coming to an end and it’s that time of year to make plans and start looking forward to the coming year. Letting go of things that held us back, and improving on the positives that happened along the way of the past year.
The first day to make a fresh start.

But putting too much stock in our resolutions also has some downsides. Like setting our goals so high that they become un-achievable.
So let’s change things up a bit going forward!
I would love for you to join me in some monthly challenges. We’ll set some small goals, become more focused and build on our successes.
Baby steps to success!
Get Healthy, Get Organized and Spend Less/Save More.
A year ago, I wrote a post on how to be more successful with your New Year’s Resolutions. I was surprised about how much those few small thought changes helped me. By simply adding another word and becoming more focused on smaller steps, I was more successful with my resolutions. Resolutions>Goals>Intentions made a huge difference for me!
I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m a lot closer than I was a year ago!
New Year Resolutions
Those three resolutions are near the top of the list every single year! They are still my top three. So this year I am adding the word Focus.
Resolutions>Goals>Intentions>Focus
I spent the holidays this year enjoying “living in the moment”, so I don’t have the free printable challenges written up to share yet, but I will very soon.
If you want to join me in the challenges, here’s the gist of what they are:
- Get Healthy/Eat Healthy
- Get Organized/Declutter
- Spend Less/Save More.
So, are you up to a few monthly challenges? There won’t be anything
too radical or extreme on the monthly challenge worksheets. Just a few small steps each month to keep us focused on moving forward.
Maybe even a few fun things thrown in along the way.
The Year of the Pig
While I was writing this post, I got to thinking that based on information found for my post on 13 Lucky Foods for the New Year, this must be The Year of Pig, because all I could think about with these planned challenges, was that we’d be moving forward and making progress!
And that my friends is how I find myself falling into yet another rabbit hole! Just out of curiosity, I wanted to see what “year” this was, according to Chinese culture. Sure enough, it is The Year of Pig! To be exact….the Earth Pig…the one that brings joy and prosperity.
If that’s not a sign, I don’t know what is!

Be sure to follow me, so you’ll know when we get started!
Absolutely my friend. Have a rollicking 2019

No resolution, just a desire to be messy. Creativity is messy, and I want to be messy😁
